Made by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota, the Toyota Corolla Cross is an extension of the Corolla series. It is a compact crossover SUV, the company launched in 2020. The Corolla family is Toyota’s bestseller. Now customers have more alternatives to choose from.
The Toyota Corolla Cross was a hybrid car with a 1.8-litre 2ZR-FXE engine making 98 hp and 142 Nm of torque. There's also an electric motor working in pair with that gasoline engine to produce 72 hp with 163 Nm of torque. Toyota Pakistan has introduced the Corolla Cross 2024 to buyers in three variants: low, mid, and high. All three come as 1.8L Hybrid.

The Corolla Cross 2024 is stylish and sporty in design. In the front part of the car, this beauty comes up with a dual trapezoid front grille featuring LED projection headlamps and curtain daytime running lamps at the very front. Besides, it also has LED fog lamps on the bottom below the front grille.
The rear end is also smart along with a kick sensor under the power tailgate which enables access to the boot space. LED illuminated rear combination headlamps lend further beauty to the car's rear. A moon roof adorns the top in the premium trim and all have a shark fin antenna.
Interior
Corolla Cross 2024 interior space is also lavish and comfortable. Leather seats are wrappings which are adjustable. In Low-grade and mid-grade trims, driver and upfront passenger seats are manually adjustable while in the premium trim, the drivers seat is power adjustable in 6 directions. The driver's seat is vertically adjustable as well. Meanwhile, the rear seats can be reclined at a 60/40 ratio to increase boot space.
The feel of the steering is that of a 3-spoke; this aspect is draped in leather in both premium and mid-grade but is fitted with urethane in the low-grade that only has two spokes. All trims have electrically operated steering with tilt and telescopic adjustment. Switches on the steering for auto cruise control are standard features for the trims. However, an added switch is present on steering in premium and mid-grade for cruise control.
The entertainment system of Corolla Cross is inching at 8 for its premium and mid-grade trims while that for low-grade trim has an entertainment system CD and Bluetooth supported. Both premium trim and mid-trim have auto dual air conditioning while that of low-grade is single-mode auto air conditioning. A tray for carrying luggage under the front passenger seat is standard in all its varieties.
The extended booer space has 4 cargo hooks and 2 grocery bag hooks for convenience. Toyota Corolla Cross is filled with safety features such as an Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and Brake Assist. Both vehicle stability control, clearance, and back sonar and hill start assist are also available. Corolla Cross Engine The Toyota Corolla Cross 2024 comes with the same hybrid 1.798cc engine that produces 168 hp and 305 Nm of torque, with Direct Shift CVT transmission across all three trims.

Corolla Cross 2024 returns a fuel efficiency figure of 18 KM/L in city drive and 20 KM/L on the highway along with a 36-litre fuel tank.
Ride & Handling of Corolla Cross
The Corolla Cross indeed gives a smooth ride. Suspensions are top-notch, and one can seldom feel any shocks while travelling on bumpers. The car is also easy to drive around with no body roll. On the negative side, at higher revs, the engine sounds underpowered.
Corolla Cross Maintenace
Like all Toyota cars, the Corolla Cross does not need frequent maintenance sessions. Its auto parts are not readily available because it is not locally assembled at least in Pakistan exclusively.

Corolla Cross Competitors
On price range and body type, the Toyota Corolla Cross is a competitor of the Haval Jolion, Kia Sportage, MG HS, and Hyundai Tucson; however, none of these is hybrid like the Cross. The only competitor of the Cross with a hybrid engine in the same body category is the Honda Vezel, but it is an imported vehicle.
