Suzuki Alto 2024: Affordable and Efficient

The Suzuki Alto 2024 is very popular in Pakistan because of its cost and fuel consumption. Primarily in Pakistan, it was launched as the Suzuki FX in 1979. Variants of Suzuki FX: 539cc T5B, 543cc F5A, and 796cc F8B It is also one of the cheapest cars in the market. Now, there are four variants of Alto: VX, VXR, VXR Automatic Gear Shift, and VXL Automatic Gear Shift.

Suzuki Alto Generations

The Suzuki Alto has come through different generations in the market and each generation of the car has better technology than the previous one. The 2nd generation was brought in 1984 with an enhanced transmission with a 4/5-speed manual and 2/3-speed automatic. The 3rd generation in 1988 saw the firm standardize the 660cc engine which was available in all the subsequent models. The 4th generation in 1994 made fuel efficiency its major target and added other features such as an air conditioner, anti-lock brake system, and power steering system.

Last but not least; the 9th generation in 2021 came again with a boxier design silhouette, larger dimensions, and new engine trims along with a mild hybrid system.

The body shape of the Suzuki Alto 2024 is very practical in its design. It is easy to drive, especially in city traffic, due to its small size. The rear lights are located in the bumper and the headlights and turn signals are in one whole unit. In general, all variants are equipped with a small front grille but the VXL model has painted door mirrors, handles, and retractable mirrors in the same color to make a vehicle look more stylish.

With the Suzuki Alto 2024 being a budget car, the interior of this auto is relatively impressive. The dashboard is of black and white shades of grey, and this makes it to have a fashionable look. This one is a 660cc, 3-cylinder engine that delivers 39 horsepower and 56 Newton meters of torque. The engine employs a multipoint fuel injection system hence improving its fuel efficiency. Depending on the variant, the Alto is available with a 5-speed manual transmission or Auto Gear Shift (AGS), which gives the driver the choice.

The Suzuki Alto 2024 is a light compact car that handles appropriately. It comes in handy when you need to maneuver within the city for you can make it go in narrow lanes and even on unsuitable roads. It can also adapt to different terrains owing to its relatively higher ground clearance than the previous model. Although the ride quality of a compact car is not as smooth as that of the bigger ones due to the compact dimensions and relatively simple suspension system, its efficiency is par with the mobility. In Pakistan, the rivals of the Suzuki Alto 2024 are other compact cars such as Suzuki Mehran, Daihatsu Mira, Nissan Dayz, United Bravo, and Prince Pearl. However, these competitors have been kept at bay by Suzuki’s generally well-established reputation for reliability and the company’s extensive dealership chain. Other 660cc class competitors include the Nissan Dayz, Daihatsu Move, and Mitsubishi Ek Wagon but because of its reliability and cheap spare parts, the Alto is the most popular.
